The Playstation 2 Linux Section
A while back, I got interested in PS2 Linux and made a PS2 Linux page. Eventually, I decided to get my own PS2 Linux box, and now I've got a whole PS2 Linux section. Eventually, I hope to turn my PS2 into a server and start another site.
Pages
Introduction to Playstation 2 Linux - Why running Linux on a Playstation is a good thing.
Playstation 2 Linux Hardware - What you need to get things going and how much it's going to cost.
Installing/Getting Started - How to get things going once you've gotten the parts.
Fixing the Eth0 Bug - The latest Linux PS2's have a natsy bug, but fortunately it is easy to fix.
Programming the PS2 - This page isn't much now, but I plan on adding to it once I learn how to use the PS2's libraries.
Pictures/Movies of my PS2 - Here's what mine looks like. I also have a movie of it booting up.
Brief FAQ - Pretty much everything that wouldn't fit anywhere else goes here.
My Dance Dance Revolution Page - Originally, my PS2 was going to be strictly for Linux. Well, that's not quite true anymore. Somehow I got hooked, but I'm in great shape now.
I could have put this on a separate page, but it's short enough to put on this one.
Playstation2-Linux.com - The main PS2 Linux site. It's got a supported-monitor data base, a big faq, and the only PS2 Linux forum. Please ask all of your PS2 Linux questions there instead of e-mailing me. It's not that I don't want to help, it's that I don't want to get swamped with e-mail.
LinuxPlay.com - Where you go to buy a Linux kit.
The EULA from LinuxPlay.com - Very important if you're interested in making games. The "Non Commercial Use" part isn't exactly the way it seems. See what I wrote about it in the Introduction to PS2 Linux.
arrakis.ncsa.uiuc.edu/ps2/ - A site about "Scientific Computing on the Sony Playstation 2." This site has a wealth of information about the innards of a PS2 and is the main site for the University of Illinois's 70-PS2 Beowulf cluster, which, if you don't know, means they made 70 PS2's work together to be a supercomputer. It cost only about $50,000.
www.arstechnica.com/reviews/1q00/playstation2/ee-1.html - About the Emotion Engine.
entertainment.howstuffworks.com/ps2.htm - How a PS2 works.
www.the-console-corner.com/ps2_apple2_chip.htm - These installation instructions for a modchip have detailed pictures of the inside of a Playstation.
www.modchip.ca/install/ps2/index.php - How to take a PS2 apart. I found it very interesting how tricky Sony made it to disassemble the PS2.
http://ogn-inc.com/psx2.shtml - Various stats about the Playstation.

I found the PS2 Tux at LinuxPlay.com. They didn't claim him in their footer.
